Bradley Arthur: Feel Herd Sculpture Exhibition
Best known for his public art pieces, Tampa-born sculptor Bradley Arthur presents a sampling of his four decades of object making. This exhibition includes a diverse range of mediums including cast bronze, traditional metal, found object assemblage and text based sculpture. Often controversial, his 3-D language integrates and reframes the common object into a transformed entity which stimulates deeper investigation. Artist reception is Oct. 9 from 5 - 8 p.m.

13th Annual "Richard's Run for Life" 5K
Come out and run, walk, or simply enjoy the food and beverages while helping researchers at Moffitt Cancer Center find a cure for cancer. One hundred percent of every dollar donated and raised will benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program for sarcoma research and the Advanced Prostate Cancer Collaboration (APCC) at Moffitt. “Richard’s Run for Life,” part of the Gonzmart Family Foundation, has raised more than $748,000 in the last 12 years.

Blind Tiger Cafe Grand Opening
Black & Denim Apparel Company will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its hybrid boutique concept in Ybor City, The Blind Tiger Cafe. This truly unique concept will integrate quality retail with quality food and beverage. In addition to Black & Denim, The Blind Tiger Cafe will feature Buddy Brew Coffee, TeBella Tea, Piquant Pastries and Jerk Hut Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly Jamaican patties. Community Holiday Decorating Day
Come help spread the holiday cheer throughout the district by participating in the annual Community Holiday Decorating Day. Each year, more than 100 volunteers meet up to carry out this holiday tradition of decorating Ybor City. The volunteers will install holiday décor on all of the lampposts throughout the Historic District and Centennial Park. T-shirts and light breakfast will be provided.

Ybor City Holiday Tree Lighting
Start the holiday countdown with Santa and the Mayor as the Historic Holiday Spirit series kicks off with the tree lighting in Centro Ybor. Mayor Bob Buckhorn, with the community present, will light the 37’ holiday tree for the first time this holiday season. Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate from Joffrey’s Coffee and free sandwiches from Jimmy John’s. Bring your camera for photo opportunities with Santa by the tree. Listen to the sounds of the season with live carolers and performers.

La Verbena Festival
A free, family-oriented festival in Centennial Park, La Verbena raises awareness and showcases Ybor City's history along with food, entertainment and cigars. This event will feature venues showcasing the history of Vicente Martinez Ybor, a Spanish immigrant to the U.S. who became a noted industrialist and cigar manufacturer, first in Cuba, then Key West and finally Ybor City.
