Tampa Bay Beer Week: Beer 101 – Understanding How to Approach and Taste Craft Beer
Course consists of a short history of beer, different beer styles, proper tasting techniques, understanding your personal flavor preferences, and will conclude with a casual Q&A in the Brewhouse. Tampa Bay Brewing Company 3rd Annual Beer Dinner
The Third Annual Beer Dinner will feature guest brewery Thomas Creek from South Carolina. The beer dinner will feature a collaborative brew in the style of an India Brown Ale. During the dinner, attendees will be the first to sample batches brewed at each brewery, a very unique opportunity. The beer dinner will highlight many special culinary and beer pairings, including a year-old bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.

Buildings Alive! Ybor City Architecture Hop
Many of the nearly 1,000 historically significant structures in Tampa's National Landmark Historic District are run by private businesses, meaning you rarely get the chance to explore them. Tour eight historic buildings that have been preserved, rehabilitated, or restored and adapted to meet modern needs. Each hop stop will provide a tour and refreshments. At the after party, enjoy live entertainment by Hot Sun, drinks and dessert in the Ybor City Museum State Park Garden.

Artist's Reception: Alex Trimino - "Colloquial Luminosity: Where Fiber Meets Electricity"
An installation of illuminated fiber-based sculptures covered in crochet, knittings and micro-controlled neon lights to reveal the similarities between high-tech materials and colloquial low-tech craft, creating an equilibrium between traditions, technologies and generations.

"Foreverglades" Art Installation
“Foreverglades” is an environmental installation of six large red recycled plastic snail sculptures that has made its way to the HCC campus in Ybor City. The goal is to provide students with a conscious perspective on environmental protection and sustainability of Florida’s Everglades and fragile environments. The red snails are part of an intriguing public art series by the “Cracking Art Group” in its REgeneration art projects, which are designed to inspire community-wide conversation about the importance of recycling.
