Getting Around

Our preferred method of transportation in Ybor City is very old-fashioned; walking…by far the most enjoyable method, followed close by a streetcar or a bicycle ride. For drivers, there are city-operated parking garages and surface lots, street parking, and private lots that make exploring Ybor City easy. No matter which way you travel, we’ve got the transportation amenities and directions you need to enjoy your visit to Historic Ybor City!

If you need more information or special attention, reach out to the Ybor YES! Team. These knowledgeable and friendly guides help visitors and locals by providing general information about Ybor City, giving directions, offering safety escort services, and assisting stranded motorists. Also, stop in at the Ybor City Visitor Information Center on 8th Avenue just west of Centro Ybor.

Parking Garages & Surface Lots

Parking in Ybor City is easy to do, in fact, many who work downtown choose to park in Ybor City and take the streetcar into downtown Tampa. The City of Tampa has two parking garages and three surface parking lots with the necessary safety and security needed. If you haven’t downloaded Park Mobile yet, go to: https://parkmobile.io/ to set up the app and secure a parking space!

The Ybor City Community Redevelopment Area (CRA)/the City of Tampa has no jurisdiction over the parking fees charged by private parking lot operators.

Green Spine Bicycle Trail

Tampa officials continue to work to make the city less car dependent, and safer for those who wish to walk, bike, and scooter to spots across the city. This project was conceptualized as part of the InVision Tampa Center City Plan to provide pedestrian and bicycle access between North Hyde Park, Downtown, and Ybor City.
