Tampa CRA, J.C. Newman Cigar Company, and community members officially broke ground on the Sanchez y Haya building restoration project in the East Tampa CRA. ![]()

The project will restore the 115-year-old structure to the way it looked when it first opened in 1910. The restoration will transform the dilapidated structure into a thriving community space that will house a new restaurant, cigar lounge, and a small hotel. ![]()
